Health insurance is fast becoming more of an issue as our government tries to figure out a course to deal with the problems in the current system. Nobody knows for sure where current and future legislation will take the industry.

We offer no-obligation quotes and personal assistance to help navigate the sometimes-confusing world of health insurance that is out there today!
Medicare Supplement Plans (Medigap)
Medicare supplement plans (also called Medigap) are private health insurance specifically designed to supplement and work only with original Medicare. Private insurance companies sell Medicare supplement plans.
Medicare supplement plans help pay some of the coinsurance, co-payments and deductibles (“gaps”) in original Medicare. They may also cover certain medical services Medicare doesn’t cover. People who are enrolled in original Medicare and buy a Medicare supplement plan will generally have 100% of their Medicare-approved health care costs covered (depending on the plan they choose). Generally, people must have Medicare Part A and Part B to buy a Medicare supplement plan.
Part D Prescription Plans
Part D prescription plans provide help with the cost of prescription medications. They are only offered through private insurance companies.
Part D prescription plans are usually offered two ways:
-
As a stand-alone plan to add coverage to original Medicare (Parts A & B) and/or as a compliment to a Medicare supplement plan.
-
Or as part of a Medicare Advantage (Part C) Plan.
Finally, they have a specific list of approved drugs they cover (called a formulary).
It is easy to become confused with the flood of information that is in the market place about Medicare supplement plans and Part D Prescription plans. Give us a call to set up a time to discuss with you and help you make sense of all this information so you may make the right decision!
Disability Insurance
Is probably the least talked about insurance yet one of the most commonly used. Disability insurance is “paycheck protection” and is there to help with bills when you are sick or hurt and you cannot work. Here are some “fast facts” about disability insurance:
-
1 in 106 people will experience a premature death.
-
1 in 88 people will experience a home fire.
-
1 in 47 people will experience an auto accident.
-
1 in 2.2 people will experience a disability injury or illness.
As you can see from the statistics, it makes sense to talk with us about your disability insurance needs, even if it just helps cover the mortgage, utilities and groceries!
We have disability insurance for everyone from single mothers to farmers and everyone in between. Ask us about return-of-premium, there if you need it, returned to you at age 65 if you don’t!
